Day Itinerary

6:00 AM – Meeting & Departure

• Meet your professional driver-guide at Shell Petrol Station near GPO Huduma Centre in Nairobi CBD.
• Short safari briefing and introductions.
• Departure in a comfortable safari tour van.
• Early morning drive toward Nairobi National Park for the best wildlife viewing time.

6:30 AM – Morning Game Drive

• Arrival at Nairobi National Park for a morning game drive.
• Possible wildlife sightings: lions, black and white rhinos, buffalo, zebras, giraffes, antelopes, hyenas and ostriches.
• Enjoy the unique safari experience with Nairobi’s skyline in the background.
• Highlights during the drive include Ivory Burning Monument, open savannah landscapes and acacia woodland habitat.
• Excellent bird watching opportunities with over 400 bird species.
• Your guide will help track wildlife and explain Kenya’s ecosystem and conservation efforts.

10:30 AM – Visit the Elephant Orphanage

• Proceed to the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust.
• Attend the public visiting hour from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM.
• Watch baby elephants being bottle-fed and playing in the mud bath.
• Learn about rescue and rehabilitation stories of orphaned elephants.
• Gain insight into elephant conservation programs in Kenya.

12:30 PM – Lunch Break

• Lunch at a nearby restaurant in the Karen area.
• Recommended restaurant: Carnivore Restaurant.
• Relax and enjoy a meal before continuing the afternoon activities.

2:00 PM – Visit the Giraffe Centre

• Arrive at the Giraffe Centre conservation facility.
• Hand-feed giraffes from the raised platform.
• Take close-up photos with the Rothschild’s giraffes.
• Learn about giraffe conservation programs.
• Optional short nature walks in the sanctuary forest.

3:30 PM – Optional Souvenir Shopping

• Stop at a local craft market.
• Browse Maasai beadwork, hand-carved wooden sculptures and African fabrics.
• Opportunity to purchase safari-themed souvenirs.

4:30 PM – Return to Nairobi CBD

• Transfer back to the Shell Petrol Station near GPO Huduma Centre.
• Optional drop-off within Nairobi CBD.
