Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Dar es Salaam – Transfer to Mikumi National Park

07:00 AM Meet your Africo Safari guide in Dar es Salaam after breakfast. Depart west towards Mikumi National Park via the scenic Morogoro Highway. Enjoy beautiful views of the Uluguru Mountains and traditional Tanzanian villages. 12:30 PM Lunch stop in Morogoro. 03:30 PM Arrive at Mikumi National Park. Check in at your safari lodge. 04:30 PM – Evening Game Drive Begin your first safari adventure. Wildlife commonly seen includes: Elephants Lions Buffaloes Zebras Giraffes Wildebeest Hippos Elands Warthogs Impalas Return to the lodge before sunset. Dinner and overnight in Mikumi.

Day 2: Full-Day Mikumi National Park

06:00 AM Early breakfast. Depart for a full-day game drive. Explore the famous Mkata Floodplain, often compared to the Serengeti due to its abundant wildlife. Search for: Lions Elephants Buffaloes Zebras Giraffes Hyenas Elands Waterbucks Over 400 bird species 01:00 PM Picnic lunch inside the park. Continue exploring different habitats until late afternoon. Return to the lodge. Dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Mikumi – Udzungwa Mountains National Park

07:00 AM Breakfast. Drive to Udzungwa Mountains National Park. 10:00 AM – Guided Forest Hike Meet your park ranger for a guided trek through tropical rainforest. Discover: Endemic monkeys Colorful butterflies Exotic birds Ancient trees Unique plant species 12:30 PM – Sanje Waterfalls Reach the spectacular 170-meter-high Sanje Waterfalls. Day 4: Udzungwa – Ruaha National Park

07:00 AM Breakfast. Depart for Ruaha National Park. Travel through rural Tanzania, passing picturesque villages and rolling landscapes. Lunch en route. 04:30 PM Arrive at your safari lodge. Enjoy an evening at leisure overlooking the Great Ruaha River. Dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Full-Day Ruaha National Park

06:00 AM Breakfast. Spend the day exploring Tanzania's largest national park. Ruaha is renowned for: Large elephant populations Huge lion prides Leopards Cheetahs African wild dogs Greater and Lesser Kudus Sable antelope Roan antelope 01:00 PM Picnic lunch inside the park. Day 6: Another Full-Day in Ruaha National Park

06:30 AM Early morning game drive. Capture stunning sunrise photographs. Explore remote sections of the park rarely visited by tourists. Visit: Great Ruaha River Granite hills Baobab forests Seasonal riverbeds Optional sundowner experience overlooking the African wilderness. Dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Ruaha – Nyerere National Park

07:00 AM Breakfast. Depart for Nyerere National Park. Enjoy scenic countryside views along the journey. Lunch en route. Late afternoon arrival. Check in at your safari camp. Dinner and overnight.

Day 8: Full-Day Nyerere National Park

06:30 AM Breakfast. Morning game drive. Search for: Elephants Lions Leopards Buffaloes African wild dogs Giraffes Crocodiles Hippos 01:00 PM Picnic lunch. 03:30 PM – Rufiji River Boat Safari Experience one of Tanzania's most unique safari activities. Day 9: Walking Safari & Wildlife Experience
