Day 1: Kigali / Entebbe – Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Option 1: Departure from Kigali (Recommended) 07:00 AM Your Africo Safari guide will pick you up from your hotel or Kigali International Airport. After a safari briefing, depart for Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Cross the Rwanda–Uganda border while enjoying spectacular views of rolling hills, terraced farms, and traditional villages. Option 2: Departure from Entebbe or Kampala Early morning departure with scenic stops along the Equator and through Uganda's beautiful countryside. 01:00 PM Lunch en route. 04:00 PM Arrive at your lodge near Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Check in and relax while enjoying panoramic forest views. Your guide will brief you on the following day's gorilla trekking experience. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking – Lake Bunyonyi
05:30 AM Wake up early and enjoy breakfast. 07:00 AM Transfer to the Uganda Wildlife Authority headquarters for registration and a detailed gorilla trekking briefing. Meet your experienced ranger guides and receive important trekking instructions. 08:00 AM – Gorilla Trekking Experience Begin your trek through the dense rainforest in search of a habituated mountain gorilla family. The trek may last 2–6 hours, depending on the location of the gorillas. Along the way, enjoy: Ancient rainforest scenery Colorful butterflies Forest birds Primates Unique plant species The Ultimate Wildlife Encounter Once the gorillas are located, spend one unforgettable hour observing them in their natural habitat. Watch as they feed, groom, play, and interact just a few meters away—a truly emotional and once-in-a-lifetime experience. Capture incredible photographs while following your ranger's guidance. 01:30 PM Return to the starting point and receive your official Gorilla Trekking Certificate. Enjoy lunch before departing for Lake Bunyonyi. 04:30 PM Arrive at your lakeside lodge. Relax while admiring the peaceful surroundings. Optional Activity Sunset canoe ride on Lake Bunyonyi. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 3: Lake Bunyonyi – Kigali / Entebbe
07:30 AM Enjoy breakfast overlooking one of Africa's most beautiful lakes. Take in the breathtaking scenery of the terraced hills and the lake's many islands. Optional Morning Activities Traditional dugout canoe excursion Guided nature walk Birdwatching Community and cultural visit Photography session around the lake 10:00 AM Begin your return journey. 01:00 PM Lunch en route. Afternoon Arrive in Kigali or continue to Entebbe/Kampala depending on your chosen departure point. Transfer to your hotel or airport.
