Itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi to Samburu National Reserve

Begin your luxury safari with a private pick-up from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport or your Nairobi hotel. Meet your professional safari guide and enjoy welcome refreshments before beginning the scenic drive north toward Samburu. Stop at the equator crossing point for photographs and a short demonstration before continuing to Samburu National Reserve. Upon arrival, check in at the lodge, enjoy lunch and spend some time relaxing. In the evening, depart for your first private game drive. Search for the Samburu Special Five, large elephant herds and other wildlife while enjoying excellent photography opportunities.

Day 2: Samburu to Ol Pejeta Conservancy

Start the day with an early sunrise game drive when wildlife is most active. Enjoy a specially arranged gourmet bush breakfast before departing for Ol Pejeta Conservancy. Arrive at Sweetwaters Luxury Camp, check in and enjoy lunch at the lodge. During the afternoon, visit the Chimpanzee Sanctuary and participate in a rhino-viewing or tracking experience. Later, enjoy a private sunset game drive accompanied by refreshments. Complete the evening with a specially prepared dinner beneath the stars, subject to weather and lodge arrangements.

Day 3: Ol Pejeta to Lake Nakuru National Park

Enjoy breakfast while admiring views of Mount Kenya before departing for Lake Nakuru National Park. Arrive at the lodge for lunch and relaxation before beginning a private afternoon game drive. Search for black and white rhinos, Rothschild’s giraffes, lions, leopards, buffaloes, pelicans and seasonal flamingos. Visit Baboon Cliff for sweeping views of Lake Nakuru and an unforgettable sunset photography session. Return to the lodge for dinner and a relaxing evening. An optional guided night bush experience may be arranged where available and subject to park regulations.

Day 4: Lake Nakuru to Amboseli National Park

After breakfast, begin the scenic journey south toward Amboseli National Park, travelling through Nairobi. Stop along the way for coffee, refreshments and photographs. Arrive at the lodge for lunch and enjoy views of Mount Kilimanjaro, weather permitting. Spend some time relaxing before departing for a private evening game drive. Explore Amboseli’s open plains in search of large elephant herds, lions, cheetahs, buffaloes, giraffes and numerous bird species. Enjoy sunset photography with Mount Kilimanjaro providing a spectacular backdrop. Return to the lodge for dinner, followed by an optional stargazing experience.

Day 5: Amboseli to Nairobi

Begin the final day with an early morning game drive beneath Mount Kilimanjaro. The sunrise provides excellent conditions for wildlife viewing and photography. Return to the lodge for breakfast before visiting Observation Hill, which offers panoramic views of Amboseli’s wetlands, plains and surrounding wildlife. Check out and begin the return journey to Nairobi. Upon arrival, you will be dropped off at your Nairobi hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.
