Information provided with a safari request
Our booking form asks for your name, email, phone number, country of residence, travel dates, traveller numbers and child ages, accommodation and transport preferences, and information you choose to include in your request. Booking records include your request, quote, payment references, received amounts and remaining balance. Please do not include full card details, passport copies or unnecessary medical information in the general request form.
How information is used
The website uses these details to prepare and manage safari requests, calculate quotes, communicate with you, process payments, issue receipts and support trip arrangements. Details relevant to your agreed itinerary may be needed by accommodation, transport and other travel suppliers. The booking form asks for permission to contact you about your request; it is not a separate subscription to marketing messages.
Payments and service providers
Card details are entered through Stripe's payment interface. Our booking records hold payment identifiers and amounts, rather than full card numbers or card security codes. DigitalOcean provides hosting. SendPulse handles outgoing email and Zoho Mail handles incoming email. These providers may process information in locations outside your country; their privacy practices also apply to their services.
Browser storage and technical information
Booking drafts and retry references use browser session storage and expire after 24 hours within that session. Hosting and payment services may process technical information, including IP addresses and request information, to operate and protect their services. Payment services may use their own cookies or similar technologies.
Records and privacy requests
Booking and payment records are held on the server, with restricted public access. Saved browser drafts are separate from those records. Contact booking@africosafari.com to ask about information held about you, its retention, correction or deletion, or to raise a privacy concern. Include your booking reference where relevant, but do not send card security codes or passwords. We may need to verify your identity before providing information or changing a record. Applicable legal and record-keeping obligations may affect a request.
Children and sensitive information
A parent, guardian or authorised trip organiser should provide information for children included in a safari request. If a health, dietary or accessibility requirement affects your trip, contact our team to agree how to provide the necessary details. Avoid entering information that is not needed to plan your journey.
